3 Layer Protein Smoothie
It's been getting hot outside and I'm ready for a cold, healthy drink after the gym! My sweet tooth has been kicking in so I've been experimenting with different fruits.
What Do I Need?
1/2 Cup of Raspberries for layer
1/2 Cup of Blueberry/Blackberry Mix
1/2 Cup of Bananas
1/4 Cup Plain Yogurt per layer
1/4 Cup almond Milk per Layer
1 Tablespoon @ManitobaHarvest Hemp Protein per layer
1/2 cup Ice per layer
1 Teaspoon of honey
Take me Step by Step:
Step 1: Add your first choice of fruit into the blender along with 1/2 cup of ice, 1/4 cup plain yogurt, 1/4 cup almond milk, 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of your hemp protein
Step 2: Blend until creamy
Step 3: Pour into cup and put in freezer for 20 minutes to harden before the 2nd layer
Step 4: Repeat Step 1 to 3 with your second choice of fruit
Step 5: Repeat step 1 to 3 with your third choice of fruit
Step 6: Drink Up!
Now I know waiting an hour for a smoothie sounds a little tedious, but this is perfect if you have a little down time before the gym. Also, if you leave out the protein, this beautiful smoothie would be great for a group get together or day by the pool with friends. It's a little more worth while if you're doing it for your friends rather than just yourself!
