My Teeth Whitening Experience: Smile Brilliant Review

My Teeth Whitening Experience: Smile Brilliant Review

I’ve tried tons of different types of at-home teeth whitening products but I found nothing that worked quite as well as Smile Brilliant. I’ve tried white strips, different toothpastes, and even the portable at-home laser light treatments people swear by on instagram. I won’t say these products didn’t work entirely, but they definitely didn’t make the dramatic difference Ive been wanting.

Smile Brilliant is by far my favorite product for whitening my teeth. After my very first at-home treatment my roommate WOWed my smile! Not only did I notice a dramatic difference, but other people were too.

What’s in the Smile Brilliant Box?

- Instruction Guide

- 3 catalyst Pastes

- 3 Base Pastes

- 2 Impression Trays

- Desensitizing Gel

- Whitening Gel

- Pre-paid Return Postage Envelope

All of this was sent to me so that I can make my own teething whitening trays specialized to fit my teeth perfectly!  It was really easy to figure out. Here the step by step instructions on how to make your own impressions.

Step By Step Instructions

Step 1: Brush your Teeth and Wash your hands. Hygiene comes first.

Step 2: Mix the Paste together

You do this by mixing 1 catalyst paste and 1 base paste together for one minute. Once you have mixed the two together they should be a light, uniform blue color. You have 3 of each: one for the top, one for the bottom, and one in case you accidentally mess up.

Step 3:  Place Putty Mixture into the impression trays

This should be done no longer than one minute after mixing the pastes together so that the putty doesn’t harden before creating your impressions. The putty should also be spread evenly throughout the tray and should not take longer than 45 seconds to do.

Step 4: Imprint your teeth into the tray

Again, this should be done 45 seconds after putting the clay inside the impression tray so that you make your teeth impressions before the clay hardens. You start with the top tray and bite directly into the center of the it. Once you have bitten into the tray make sure not to wiggle, bite too hard, or remove too early. Your teeth should not be touching the bottom of the tray. Wait 2 minutes before removing.

Step 5: Repeat the same process with the lower tray.

Step 6: Allow Impressions to sit for 10 minutes

Step 7: Put both top and bottom impression trays, along with the card you have to sign and date, into the Smile Brilliant pre-paid mailing envelope.

Step 8: Send it off in the Mail

Teeth Whitening Process

Once you get your custom fit trays (sort of look like Invisalign), you’ll be able to begin you teeth whitening treatment. Your kit came with a number of syringes of teeth whitening and desensitizing gel depending on the sensitivity level you bought. After brushing your teeth, spread an even amount of teeth whitening gel on each tooth imprint thats on your tray. You then put the tray on your teeth. Depending on your tolerance and sensitivity level, you can keep the tray on your teeth for 20 minutes to 3 hours. The first time I tried it my teeth were sensitive for about a week before I was ready to do it again. But then again, I didn’t use the desensitizing gel the first time around. The second time I tried it I included the desensitizing gel into my routine and it made a HUGE different. I was then able to whiten my teeth every other day until my syringes were gone.
